The Waiting

Waiting for you, here in nowhere land
You bring a smile, to my otherwise colourless world
The sparkle in your eyes, the warmth of your hand
Why did I wait, wait to be hurled
From where I pretended to belong
To your world of love
I knew you’d take me along
To see what lay ahead, but nothing above.

I sit staring at the stars,
can i weave them into a magic carpet?
to fly to the brighter side of my life,
and paint a little smile on my princess.

Owing her my life for all her trust,
waiting to hide her in my arms!
That day looks no farther,
that it will, to a joyous life!
